Managing Director

Peter brings over two decades of experience in the mobile industry, having worked across every stage of the mobile product supply chain, from ODM manufacturing through to distribution and retail. His in-depth understanding of both primary and secondary markets enables EGE to navigate complex global supply dynamics with confidence and agility.  

As MD, Peter guides the company’s strategic direction, ensuring that our operations remain aligned with customer needs and market demands. His specialism in identifying growth opportunities, managing strategic partnerships and delivering innovative commercial solutions plays a vital role in helping our customers stay ahead in a competitive market. Passionate about collaboration and long-term value creation, Peter’s vision and industry insight help drive consistent results for both EGE and its partners. 

Brett Watmough
Sales & Purchasing Director

With a career in the mobile industry dating back to 1995, Brett brings a deep-rooted understanding of mobile products and accessories, gained through decades of hands-on experience. Over the past 20 years, he has developed specialist expertise in global product valuation and the international market forces that influence supply and demand.  

At EGE, Brett plays a key strategic role in overseeing both sales and purchasing functions, ensuring that customers benefit from a commercially competitive product range tailored to evolving market needs. His insight into global trends and pricing dynamics allows EGE to consistently deliver value, choice and availability to our partners. As Sales and Purchasing Director, Brett helps shape the direction of the business, keeping EGE's and our customer success at the heart of every decision. 

Philip Moakes
Technical Director

Phil joined EGE full-time in 2016 following nearly three years of consultancy with the business. A seasoned IT and software professional, Phil brings a wealth of experience in IT development and system implementation across a broad spectrum of technologies.  

With a proven track record in senior IT leadership and technical management, including time as Group Managing Director of a successful technology business, Phil plays a vital role in driving EGE’s digital infrastructure forward. His strategic oversight ensures our systems remain secure, scalable, and fit for purpose, supporting seamless operations and delivering enhanced service and efficiency for our customers. 

In addition, Phil is responsible for the group’s QA, facilities management and health & safety, as well as helping to provide oversight of legal and compliance.

Rick Ellis-Sheldon
Finance Director

Rick brings a wealth of experience in financial planning, operational performance, and sustainable business growth. With a proven ability to provide strategic financial leadership and navigate complex regulatory environments, Rick plays a pivotal role in steering EGE through its continued expansion.  

As Finance Director, he leads the finance team and oversees all financial operations, ensuring the business remains commercially robust and agile. His focus on financial clarity and operational efficiency supports EGE’s ability to deliver consistent value and reliability to our partners, reinforcing our position in a dynamic and competitive market. 

Catherine Franklin
Head of HR

Catherine joined EGE in late 2016 as Head of HR, bringing over a decade of senior HR experience, including time as a HR Director. Her career has included both UK-based and European responsibilities, with a strong foundation across operational delivery and strategic HR planning.

At EGE, Catherine leads the people function, aligning HR strategy with business objectives to support the company’s continued growth and evolution. She is responsible for ensuring that EGE attracts, develops, and retains the right talent, while promoting a positive, inclusive culture that drives performance and service excellence.

Brendan Nicholls
Head of Purchasing & International Sales

Brendan joined EGE in 2015 as a mobile business specialist and quickly progressed through the organisation, becoming Purchasing Manager before being appointed Head of Purchasing and International Sales in 2020. With nearly 20 years of experience in the mobile sector, Brendan brings a deep understanding of product trends, global pricing and international market dynamics. 

In his role, Brendan oversees the purchasing strategy and drives both UK and international sales growth, managing key vendor relationships while developing new partnerships across the UK and the rest of the world. His commercial insight and global perspective ensure that EGE delivers a competitive and agile product offering, helping our partners access the right devices, at the right time, and at the right price. 

Steve Hankey
Head of Vendors

Steve joined EGE in January 2018 as Head of Commercial & Vendor Management, bringing with him over 14 years of experience in the mobile industry and a strong track record of working with leading global OEMs. Prior to joining EGE, he held the position of Associate Purchasing Director at Data Select, part of the Peter Jones Group of companies, where he played a key role in driving business growth.

At EGE, Steve is responsible for identifying and onboarding best-in-class vendor partners to strengthen our product portfolio and support the company’s strategic growth. He also manages our commercial agreements, ensuring robust processes and commercial disciplines are in place to deliver value and reliability for our partners. His deep market insight and vendor expertise help ensure our customers benefit from strong supply relationships, competitive propositions and access to the right products at the right time.

Nick Henty
Operations Manager

Nick has been with the business since its early days as a small retail outlet. Over the years, he has progressed through a range of roles to become Operations Manager, playing a key part in EGE’s growth journey. With a background in mobile retail and over 15 years of industry experience, Nick brings valuable technical knowledge and hands-on expertise in mobile handsets, including repair and modification.

In his current role, Nick oversees critical functions within EGE’s warehouse and distribution operations. His leadership ensures the smooth running of logistics, inventory control, and fulfilment processes—supporting the accurate and efficient delivery of products to our partners. Having grown with the business, Nick possesses a deep understanding of operational workflows and a strong commitment to service quality, both of which are instrumental in upholding EGE’s reputation for reliability and operational excellence. 

Chris Shaw
Head of Marketing

Chris joined EGE at the beginning of 2024 as Head of Marketing, bringing with him a wealth of experience across sales, marketing, and customer engagement. With a diverse background spanning multiple industries, including telecoms, Chris offers a broad commercial perspective that supports the development and execution of impactful marketing strategies. 

His expertise in brand development, digital strategy, and design enables him to lead a high-performing marketing team focused on driving awareness, engagement, and revenue growth. Chris’s strong foundation in customer service and sales also allows him to build meaningful connections across the business, from stakeholders to vendors and partners, ensuring that EGE’s marketing efforts are not only creative and effective but also aligned with commercial goals and customer needs. 

Matt Pasco
Business Development Director

Matt joined EGE in 2025, bringing with him over 25 years of leadership experience in consumer electronics, IT and mobile distribution. He has held senior Sales Director positions at both Data Select and Westcoast, where he built an extensive network of relationships with leading global brands as well as the UK’s largest technology retailers and resellers.

In his role as Business Development Director, Matt is focused on identifying and securing new business opportunities, leveraging his network and expertise to strengthen strategic partnerships, and drive the company’s long-term growth

Sam Christmas
UK Key Account Director

Sam joined EGE in March 2018 as a Business Development Manager, supporting the company’s strategy to expand its UK presence. With a strong background in the mobile accessories sector, Sam brought with him extensive industry knowledge gained from his previous role at a leading tech accessories distributor, where he served as UK Account Manager and Head of E-commerce. 

Since joining EGE, Sam has played a pivotal role in managing key relationships across national retail and wholesale channels, consistently delivering best-in-class service and identifying new commercial opportunities. His performance and leadership led to his promotion to Head of Key Accounts in April 2020, and most recently, to UK Key Account Director, a role in which he now leads strategic account development across some of EGE’s most important partners. Sam’s commercial insight, customer-first mindset, and results-driven approach continue to support the business’s growth and strengthen its position in the UK market. 

Pam Macmillan
Head of UK B2B Sales

Pam joined EGE in 2017 as Head of UK B2B, bringing with her over 17 years of experience in the UK B2B sector. A highly customer-focused professional, Pam is dedicated to delivering value through product, price, and exceptional service —principles that have consistently underpinned her success in building strong, long-term client relationships. 

At EGE, Pam leads the growing UK B2B team, supporting a diverse customer base that includes resellers, VARs, MSPs and enterprise partners. Her deep understanding of the B2B landscape and commitment to partner success ensure that EGE continues to meet and exceed the expectations of its business customers, while driving sustainable growth and commercial performance across the channel. 

Paul Wilson
Services Sales Manager

Paul joined EGE in June 2018 as a UK B2B Account Manager, bringing with him over a decade of experience in the mobile and telecoms industry. His previous role as General Manager at a unified communications reseller saw him lead sales, sales support, and customer service teams, developing a well-rounded commercial and operational skillset. 

In his role as Services Sales Manager, Paul plays a key role in expanding EGE’s value-added services proposition, working closely with partners to deliver tailored solutions that enhance their offering and drive long-term growth. His background across major IT and telecoms distributors, as well as one of the UK’s leading network operators, gives him a broad industry perspective and the expertise to support customers across multiple sectors. Paul’s collaborative approach and deep market knowledge continue to strengthen EGE’s service-led positioning within the B2B channel. 

Liam Payne
Business Development Manager

Liam joined EGE as a Business Development Manager in July 2023, bringing with him over 8 years of experience in the telecoms sector. His career includes working with a leading UK network and playing an instrumental role in the growth of a challenger mobile manufacturer, giving him valuable insight into both established and emerging brands within the market.

At EGE, Liam is responsible for developing and managing key customer relationships across both commercial and public sector channels. With a strong focus on service, support, and education, he regularly delivers tailored training sessions on behalf of our direct partners, helping customers stay informed on the latest product developments. Liam also supports EGE’s growing involvement in the public sector, managing all frameworks and ensuring that all public sector partners benefit from compliant, value-driven solutions. Proactive and commercially astute, he continues to identify new opportunities and deliver added value across our expanding partner base.

James Hillman
Head of Not-New Devices

James joined EGE in 2008 as a Sales Executive and has since progressed through the business to become International Sales Manager, before taking on his current role as Head of Not-New Devices. Over the years, James has developed deep expertise in the mobile device market, with a particular focus on the rapidly growing secondary sector. 

In his role, James leads the development of key client relationships across insurers, financial institutions and retail partners, ensuring EGE remains a trusted supplier of high-quality, not-new devices. His strong commercial acumen and commitment to service excellence have made him a key figure within the business. With full autonomy over purchasing and sales strategy in his area, James plays a vital role in ensuring that our not-new offering delivers the right products, at the right value, for our partners across multiple sectors.
